If you love anime, then you probably heard of the famous anime series Naruto Shippuden. Naruto Shippuden is a famous Japanese anime series that was created by Masashi Kishimoto. Naruto Shippuden is a continuation of the famous Naruto manga that features Naruto Uzumaki who is a ninja in training and wanted to be Hokage (leader in a village) together with his friends.
The Naruto series has been loved by both Japanese viewers and international viewers because of the vast history and creativity that the series has introduced. It is a fund adventure cartoon that doesn’t only enjoyable to watch but can also be fun to act out which is why a lot of people who participate in cosplay often goes with a Naruto character inspired costume.
Cosplay or costume play is a type of performance or showcase art wherein you go dressed as someone imitating their clothes, accessories and personalities. When you attend a cosplay event or convention, you don’t go as yourself – rather you attend it being the character you go by. You act the part of your cosplay costume regardless of whom the character you decide to be.
If you intend to go as Naruto or one of the characters from the anime cartoon, there are a few things that you have to remember:
Dress the part – this is the most important aspect in cosplay events, you need to mimic everything there is to copy to have an effective cosplay costume. For example, Naruto dresses in orange jumpsuit or pants with a jacket that is also orange incorporated with blue details. The pants must be just over the sandals, cutting the pants to not go beyond the knee since Naruto has a white cloth wrapped around his right leg and thigh. There are cosplay costume that you can purchase which are specifically made for cosplay events but if you wish to replicate a cosplay costume without spending too much on it spend your time studying the anime characters clothes and accessories. Every detail counts.
Act the part – Since you will be going to a cosplay event as the anime character, it is best that you are familiar with the series before hand. It is important that you remember how a character speaks and act. Once you are in character, you need to keep in mind that your mentality is not of your own but rather of the character you go as. Take the character as if you are them and you are good to go.
Mood – most cosplay participants try to memorize a particular scene that they are re-enacting which is why often these scenes doom to fail. You don’t have to remember all the sequence by the dot, rather it is advice to just play the part and enjoy every second of it. Avoid being nervous.
There are a number more different anime characters that you can try out for your cosplay costume, it is not only limited to Naruto since there are a number of successful Japanese anime as of today. Just don’t forget to have fun and its best to attend a cosplay event with a friend.
